‘I have a couple Christmas songs dropping that are very random,’ she laughed. ‘Everyone’s sad. Everyone’s feeling it. The world’s kind of gone to crap so they’re like, ‘Can you just release something?’
Those songs, she explained, were little sparks of joy meant to hold fans over while she works on her next album written during a deeply personal chapter of her life.
‘That’s the cool thing about being an artist,’ she said. ‘You get to bring a little sunshine or distraction or hope especially when people need it most.’
