Bad Bunny Turned the Super Bowl Halftime Show Into a Real Wedding, And the Internet Lost It…

The Super Bowl Halftime Show has delivered many unforgettable moments over the years, but this one may have just rewritten the rulebook.

Last night, Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny, the headliner of the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, stunned millions by transforming his performance into a full-blown wedding ceremony complete with surprise celebrity appearances, Easter eggs, and an unexpected guest reveal.

According to PEOPLE, the bride and groom, whose names have not been publicly disclosed, were not actors. They were a real couple, genuinely in love, and genuinely getting married live on one of the most-watched television events of the year.

As the newlyweds shared a kiss center stage, the moment escalated even further. The stage quite literally opened up, revealing the show’s surprise guest: Lady Gaga. She emerged to perform ‘Die with a Smile,’ sending the stadium and social media — into immediate meltdown mode.

Beside the couple stood a towering three-tier wedding cake, from which they later cut a large slice, sealing the moment as undeniably real.

NBC News journalist Rohan Nadkarni confirmed the authenticity of the ceremony, noting that the couple themselves initiated the idea. The wedding took place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

‘They invited Bad Bunny to their wedding,’ Nadkarni wrote on social media, ‘and he countered by offering to marry them during his halftime performance.’

A separate source told Daily Mail that the couple was officially and legally married during the show.Unsurprisingly, the wedding instantly blew up across social media. Viewers flooded platforms with shock, disbelief, joy, and more than a little confusion.

‘There was something about them that felt instantly real,’one viewer wrote. ‘I caught myself thinking, ‘This looks like an actual wedding.’’

Others admitted they initially assumed it was staged.

‘I thought it was fake at first,’ another user shared. ‘But when the cameras came back and I saw how happy the bride was, I realized oh my God, this is real.’

Some took a more philosophical — and humorous — approach.

‘So the Super Bowl halftime show is officially a wedding venue now?’ one user joked. ‘Amazing… and also kind of bizarre. Is this still NFL football, or a mix of reality TV, concert, and ceremony?’
