She Walked Into Her Wedding Without Her Dad. Then His FDNY Brothers Did Something Unforgettable…

Kristin Marino’s wedding to musician Noah Schnacky became a moment the internet won’t forget when her late father’s FDNY brothers stepped in where he could not.

Marino was just three when her father, FDNY firefighter Kenneth Marino, died saving others during the 9/11 call.

On Aug. 27, she married Schnacky in New York City, and members of FDNY Rescue 1 honored her father by escorting the bride from her hotel to the ceremony in a fire truck.

‘They stood in his place,’ Schnacky said ahead of the wedding, calling it one of the most meaningful moments of their lives.

In emotional videos shared on Instagram and TikTok, Marino is seen smiling, then breaking down in tears as she meets the firefighters.

‘I finally understand what people mean when they say, ‘It’s a brotherhood,’ she wrote. ‘It felt like my dad was escorting me down the aisle. I know it’s exactly what he would have wanted.’

Her mother and younger brother were overcome with emotion as well, later saying that having Kenneth’s “brothers” there made his presence deeply felt.

Marino later shared that seeing the firefighters lined up to honor her father was overwhelming but beautiful. ‘It felt like my dad was right there with me,’she said. ‘I’ll be forever grateful to the FDNY for making our day so special.’
