A 26 year old Canadian gardener, William White, has blossomed into an unlikely TikTok sensation thanks to his sultry, playful covers of 70s hits.
With a slow burning smile, blue eyes that seem to wink before he does, and that now famous cheeky glance at the camera,

he has captivated an audience few influencers target: older women willing to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds for a slice of virtual affection.
But as his popularity grew, so did the drama.
A group of devoted fans calling themselves the ‘Grotto Girls” spiraled into infighting after William reportedly slept with a follower known online as ‘Disney Mama.’
What began as fandom quickly curdled into jealousy, mockery, and online warfare. Kate Palmer, who found herself at the center of the storm, revealed that fake accounts targeted her, shared her photos, and even sent death threats.

‘It was madness,’ she said. ‘And it could have cost someone their life.’
Paramount+’s documentary series Thirst Trap dives headfirst into William’s meteoric rise, the “Disney Mama” scandal, and the chaos that blurred the line between fantasy and reality.
The series follows Kate and other fans as they travel to William’s hometown of Niagara, hoping to meet him in person, revealing how digital obsession seeped into real life, according to the Daily Mail.

Shaken by the consequences, William has since decided to change course. He stopped posting provocative thirst trap videos and even took part in a family baptism attended by supporters, including Kate. Yet despite the turmoil, devotion still lingers.
‘I would do anything for him,’ one fan admits. ‘He’s incredibly special to me… and I don’t want to lose that connection.’
