‘Hi, I’m Elton John. A few weeks ago I filmed a video in this kitchen about the ‘Step Into Christmas’ madness. It got an incredible response, which surprised me a little,’ says the musician.
He admits to being surprised by some of the critical comments about the state of his oven. ‘A lot of people have written that my oven is dirty, the door, the glass.
I assure you, nothing in my house is dirty. I’ve never been sloppy,’ Elton insists. To prove his point, he made the following video: in the second video, John appears in bright pink cleaning gloves with red fur linings, ready to show off his cleaning skills.
Elton thoroughly cleans the oven while the same song plays in the background. At the end, he proudly declares:
‘Look, I have the cleanest oven door in Windsor.’
The original video, which garnered a lot of comments, showed Elton in a festive kitchen, opening cupboards and drawers to the music of the song, shouting and making lines.
Many fans noticed the ‘dirty” oven. ‘I’m glad Elton has a dirty oven too,’ wrote one user. ‘I would love to clean that oven glass,’ added another.
