Andrew and Gabriella Morrison reached a point where their ordinary life no longer felt fulfilling. Tired of routines and excess, they left their home behind, let go of nearly everything they owned, and stepped away from everyday life in search of something simpler and calmer.
Their answer was bold and unexpected. Instead of upgrading to something bigger, they chose to go smaller. Much smaller. The couple decided to build a tiny house of just 19 square meters.
‘When I first heard about the Tiny House movement, I was instantly inspired. It’s a way of living I’ve been longing for,’ Gabriella writes on their website.
What makes their story even more impressive is the cost. The entire house was built for around $3,420.Andrew, a professional carpenter with over 20 years of experience, explains why they did it themselves:
‘If you hire people to build your house, you’ll end up paying at least double,’ he says.Despite its compact size, the tiny home includes a fully equipped kitchen and everything they need for comfortable daily living.
