World No. 1 tennis star Aryna Sabalenka has shared unexpected and slightly humorous details about her engagement and fans can’t get enough.
The 27-year-old athlete revealed that her fiancé, entrepreneur Georgios Frangulis, proposed with a luxurious oval-cut diamond ring. While the ring is undeniably stunning, it wasn’t exactly what she had imagined.
During a lighthearted social media interview, Sabalenka was asked to guess the size of the diamond. Smiling, she answered: ‘12?’ and she was right.
However, when asked if that was the ring she had hoped for, she joked:
‘I didn’t ask for that one. I asked for a 14-carat ring… but I got 12.’
The couple officially announced their engagement on March 3, 2026, after nearly two years of dating. The proposal took place in a romantic setting by a pool, surrounded by candles, flowers, and white rose petals.
Sabalenka later shared the special moment on Instagram, captioning the video:
‘You and me — forever.’
She also admitted that the proposal came as a complete surprise.
