Brides usually arrive at their weddings in luxurious limousines, elegant classic cars, or other specially decorated vehicles. However, 37-year-old British farmer Victoria Lee decided to make a childhood dream come true.
A dream she had cherished since she was just 10 years old. Instead of arriving at the altar in a traditional wedding car, Victoria made her entrance riding on a cow.
On August 8, Victoria married her 40-year-old husband, Mike Lee. The ceremony, held at Marsh Holy Cross Church, turned into an unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.
The bride’s unusual “transportation” was a Swiss cow named White Chocolate Button, who played a very special role in the wedding.
Victoria was initially taken to the church by tractor. But that was only the beginning of her unusual journey. After arriving, she climbed onto her beloved cow, which had been beautifully decorated with a festive garland of flowers.
The sight was certainly very different from the traditional image of a bride stepping out of a limousine, and it quickly became one of the most memorable moments of the entire celebration.
“It was something I had always dreamed of. It was absolutely incredible,” Victoria said. “Although it sounds crazy, people ride horses, and there is no real difference between them. White Chocolate Button was simply amazing. She behaved beautifully and took everything completely calmly.”
For Victoria, having her cow at the wedding was not just a funny or unusual idea. It was an important part of her life and identity as a farmer.
“Without the cow, my wedding would not have been the same,” she explained. “Our cows are our family and our life.”
The actual ride lasted only around 30 seconds, but those few moments became one of the highlights of the day. Surprisingly, White Chocolate Button showed no signs of stress or nervousness.
According to Victoria, the animal has been taking part in agricultural shows since she was born and is therefore accustomed to crowds, people, and unusual situations.
The cow is apparently so comfortable around people that she even goes inside the house to eat bread. This familiarity with people helped make the wedding entrance possible, as the animal remained calm despite the unusual surroundings, decorations, and large number of guests.
The wedding itself required an enormous amount of preparation and effort from the couple. Victoria and Mike had been preparing for their special day for 10 years, while also balancing the organization of their celebration with the demanding work of running a farm.
Their wedding day was far from a typical relaxing morning for a bride and groom. Because of her busy schedule on the farm, Victoria managed to get only about one hour of sleep the night before the wedding. On the morning of the ceremony, she was already awake at 4:30 a.m. so she could take care of the morning milking.
Even after the wedding ceremony was officially over, Victoria and Mike did not immediately head to their reception to celebrate with their guests. Instead, they did something their wedding guests certainly were not expecting.

For most couples, a wedding day is carefully separated from their everyday responsibilities. But for Victoria and Mike, their wedding was a reflection of the life they have built together. Their farm, their animals, and their work are an important part of their family, so it was only natural for the cows to have a starring role in the celebration.
Victoria’s unusual wedding entrance therefore became much more than an entertaining photograph or a quirky story for guests to remember. It was the fulfillment of a childhood dream and a celebration of the life she has devoted herself to.
While the ride on White Chocolate Button lasted only about half a minute, it perfectly captured the spirit of the bride and her relationship with her animals. Instead of following tradition, Victoria chose to make her wedding personal, memorable, and true to who she is.
And after all the flowers, vows, photographs, and celebrations were over, there was still one final reminder that this was the wedding of a farmer: the newlyweds had cows to milk.
For Victoria, that was simply part of the perfect wedding day.
