Brooklyn Beckham, the 26-year-old eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, has spoken publicly for the first time about his long-standing rift with his parents.
He accused them of controlling him throughout his life and manipulating public opinion by maintaining a fake image of a ‘perfect family.’
Brooklyn said he stayed silent for years, but constant media pressure from his parents’ side left him no choice but to speak out. He added that he does not wish to reconcile and feels free for the first time.
According to Brooklyn, his parents repeatedly interfered in his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz. He claimed Victoria Beckham canceled Nicola’s wedding dress at the last moment and later blamed Nicola for refusing her help.
He also described a humiliating incident at the wedding, saying his mother interrupted his first dance with Nicola and danced with him inappropriately in front of hundreds of guests.
Brooklyn stated that Nicola was often treated disrespectfully by his family and explained why he skipped his father’s birthday, alleging that David Beckham refused to meet him unless Nicola stayed away. He believes his parents prioritize their public image over real family bonds.
Finally, Brooklyn denied claims that Nicola controls him, saying that after leaving his parents’ influence, his anxiety disappeared and he finally found peace and freedom in the life he chose.
