Cartier’s New High Jewelry Collection Looks Like Wearable Art…

Presented in a château near Saint-Tropez, the collection titled Le Chœur des Pierres (“The Choir of Stones”) celebrates four iconic gemstones that have shaped Cartier’s artistic identity for decades.

Under the glowing Mediterranean light, orange diamonds shimmer like molten fire, while emeralds reveal maze-like patterns filled with depth and mystery. Sapphire cabochons resemble deep blue pools, and Cartier’s signature panther motif appears surrounded by dramatic contrasts of onyx and yellow stones.

According to WWD, the collection explores how light transforms gemstones into living works of art.

Cartier High Jewelry Director Jacqueline Karachi-Langane explained that the goal was to “give a voice to the stone” by highlighting the natural beauty and history hidden within each gem. Rather than serving as decoration, the stones become the starting point of every design.

The collection also revives bold color combinations once considered unconventional in luxury jewelry, including green and blue pairings, as well as vibrant red-and-green compositions inspired by Indian and Chinese artistic traditions.

Among the standout creations is the Tutti Kanya necklace, featuring a carved emerald weighing over 30 carats alongside ruby tassel details. Another highlight, the Haryma necklace, blends yellow and orange diamonds with garnets to create a glowing gradient effect.

One of the most talked-about pieces is the Panthère Kentia design, centered around a massive 50-carat Ceylon sapphire topped with Cartier’s iconic emerald-eyed panther.

The collection includes more than 130 pieces of jewelry and luxury watches containing nearly 1,900 total carats of gemstones, reinforcing Cartier’s place at the center of the global high jewelry world.
