Christine Cabot, the 53-year-old former HR director of Astronomer IO has spoken out again about the viral ‘kiss cam’ scandal at a Coldplay concert this time placing the blame on her former boss.

In an interview on Oprah Winfrey’s podcast, Cabot claimed that the company’s CEO, Andy Byron allegedly misled her about his marital status and intentions to divorce.
According to Cabot, she believed Byron was already in the process of divorcing when they were seen together at the concert in July 2025.
‘He was not the person he presented himself to be, and lying is unacceptable to me,’ she said. ‘There was a serious lack of honesty and principles.’

Notably, Cabot had never previously accused Byron of lying even during her earlier interview with The New York Times in December. She also revealed that she cut off all communication with him last autumn.
Cabot didn’t hold back when discussing the role of social media. She criticized platforms like Tiktok saying they often ‘feed on other people’s pain,’ especially when viral moments like the controversial ‘kiss cam’ generate billions of views.

‘The more someone like me suffers, the more they profit. That’s what fuels the system,’ she said, calling for greater accountability.
So far, Byron has not issued any official statement following the scandal.
Cabot continues to stand by her claims, insisting that her story has been manipulated online, while she tries to protect her reputation and personal life.
