A Brazilian man has become the center of viral attention after fainting in the delivery room during the birth of his child.
Maicon Pedrosão, from Criciúma, Brazil, was present at a local hospital while his wife, Mariana Felipe, underwent a C-section. As doctors delivered their baby and placed the newborn on the mother’s chest, Maicon suddenly turned pale, lost consciousness, and collapsed into the arms of a nurse.
A photographer in the room captured the dramatic moment on video, which later exploded across social media, gaining more than 20 million views. Footage shows medical staff quickly catching the father, helping him lie down, and raising his legs while attempting to revive him.
Meanwhile, doctors calmly continued caring for the newborn, with some even smiling and giving thumbs-up to the camera.
